Armed man arrested after pushing toward Ohio gov candidate Amy Acton at Canfield Fair
Patrick Havas, 38, of Canfield was arrested Sunday inside a Democratic Party tent at the Canfield Fair after pushing through a crowd while gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton was speaking, according to the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio State Highway Patrol. Two people were knocked down; Acton was not injured. Deputies recovered two handguns and brass knuckles; investigators said no weapons were brandished or removed from holsters. Havas was booked on assault and disorderly conduct counts. Gov. Mike DeWine called violence or its threat at political events unacceptable.
