Judge declares mistrial in Lindsay Clancy triple-murder case after hung jury
Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial Sept. 4 in Plymouth Superior Court after jurors reported they remained deadlocked following about seven days of deliberations in the murder trial of Lindsay Clancy, charged in the 2023 deaths of her children Cora, Dawson, and Callan. Reporting described an 11-1 split; the defense argued postpartum psychosis, and prosecutors said she knew right from wrong. Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz has not decided whether to retry; a status conference is set for Sept. 29. Clancy remains held at Tewksbury State Hospital.
